Casting Elegant Boxes with Colour de Verre
This special one day Pate de Verre Box class will teach you how to mix colors, create color gradations; develop a color palette and also custom colors. This workshop will focus on the mixing & weighing of frit and how to properly fill the molds. Each student will cast a box and lid as well as thin cast components that will be applied to the box lid.

Students will work with re-useable molds to create a cast piece; however, the techniques and information learned in this workshop may also be used in the original molds.

CASTING & DESIGNING GLASSLINKS JEWELRY

This is a perfect workshop for any jewelry artist looking to expand their Jewelry line. Link jewelry is very popular and Casting with Colour de Verre’s newest glass casting molds, “The Glass links Series” will take you jewelry to another level.

The four new shapes, oval, diamond, circle & heart, will inspire endless design combinations for pendants and bracelets and can also be incorporated as decorative elements on boxes, plates, picture frames and other glass projects.

Jayne will show you how to prepare and fill the molds for a successful
thin firing. Together with a new release and special firing schedule the
links will be smooth, light weight and free of sharp edges resulting in light
weight jewelry designed to be comfortable.

She will also show you the color blending techniques to create your own custom
colors to match the fashion trends or a favorite outfit. Wire wrapping and finishing
techniques will be an important focus in this workshop. Jayne will cover several creative ways to join the links together for a variety of professional and cutting edge looks.

Each student will receive a set of oval link molds, wire and beads. Students should
bring wire wrapping pliers.

The workshop fee $500.00 for both days (50% due at registration remainder due by 11/12/10)
The material fee for this workshop is $35.00.
